Janusz Korwin-Mikke decided to speak out before the second round of the presidential elections.

Korwin's words provoked an immediate reaction from MP Tomasz Trela ​​from the New Left , who has repeatedly criticized the pro-Russian sympathies of some far-right politicians. His response was short but exceptionally blunt: "A Russian footswatter will always be a Russian footswatter. Take Karol and march to Putin!"

Korwin tried to retort by explaining that Rafał Trzaskowski won the last presidential elections in the regions of Russia and Belarus.

"I encourage you to vote against the candidate who won in Russia and Belarus. You don't have to thank me. ;)" - he wrote sarcastically. The problem is that the Polish diaspora living in totalitarian regimes opposes the practices used in them.

Trela ​​responded by referring to Korwin-Mikke's famous "naps".

"I'm just telling you that when you were in the Sejm, you were either sleeping or supporting Putin."

Janusz Korwin-Mikke was photographed with his eyes closed during sessions in the Sejm, which internet users and the media commented on as the MP's "napping". The photos became memes and a symbol of his passive parliamentary attitude. Korwin-Mikke himself defended himself, claiming that he was not sleeping, but "meditating" or "listening with his eyes closed".

Bocheński enters the game: "Sleeping Korwin contributed more"

Tobiasz Bocheński, an MEP associated with the Law and Justice camp, unexpectedly came to Korwin-Mikke's defense. "A sleeping Korwin contributed more to the Sejm than you did when you were awake," he wrote on X.

It is worth adding that Bocheński himself, as an MEP, is not very active. So far, he has appeared in a total of 10 debates and submitted one interpellation.
